Coco Ichibanya Nishku - Osaka

Beautiful curry! can change warm and spicy levels, as well as the amount of rice they want. we eat here a few times on our trip, fast and easy. as mentioned, they should order the specifically marked vegetarian and not use animal products.

I was stressed and run late in osaka from hakone. I have to check in late in my youth hostel and run hungry and on fear energy, check hc to see if there is a chance to eat vegans that was not another conbini onigiri. this place was a goddess. it feels kind of like a waffel house in the inner (idk why? but they have the vegetarian menu and it is a decent amount of food. I ate at 10:30 a.m., and maybe they're talking about it, but it was so good. I had the bad luck with the aubergine. it is definitiw no target meal imho, but it is a good option, especially if they eat jonesing for comfort.

The vegetarian menu was on the table behind the regular menus. Everything was very clearly marked and explained in English. Ordered a vegetarian curry with vegetables and eggplant and asked them to add mushrooms, which was no problem (though it did add a little to the price). It was tastier than I expected, and plenty filling. Would come again.

As others have said, this is a chain but only some locations (like this one) have a vegetarian menu. There are a number of vegetable curries on offer, all with the same brown curry base which the menu states is free from all animal derivatives. The curry is very tasty, and at around 700 yen it's also cheap. Good if you're getting a bit short on cash from the exclusively vegan restaurants in Japan, which while great and very welcome all seem to be pricey compared to the omni restaurants!

As always, fantastic curry. Be careful which curry you order as the vegetable curry is made with a pork base
