Step inside, and you'll be greeted by a cave-like bar and dining area that feels like it's been plucked right out of a 50s B-movie. The place is equipped with Keno and TV screens, along with pool tables and shuffleboard (a personal favorite), not to mention some classic video games to keep you entertained. There's even a stage that appears ready for a rocking performance, especially later in the evening when the place really comes alive with live music. Despite its name, there's not much nautical decor—except for a lovely view of the lake and a few seasoned locals at the bar! Rumor has it that the upper floors used to host some less-than-reputable activities, though I find that hard to believe. My friend RW and I settled in at the bar and decided to start with a Bloody Mary, and they certainly do it right! Served in a pint glass, it features a fantastic recipe complete with olives, a dill pickle, lemon and lime, spices on the rim, and—wait for it—crispy bacon on top! It was heavenly! I even ordered a second just to make sure the first wasn't a fluke, and it was just as amazing! RW, who typically only drinks beer, also gave a thumbs up to this delicious drink. Not wanting to just live on drinks alone, we ordered wings. As a wing purist, I must say these were good but clearly came out of a bag and were baked. Still, they were hot and flavorful. I'll have to save the rest of the menu for my next visit, which I look forward to! The Boat Bar is clearly a well-known spot among locals, so if you haven't checked it out yet, come aboard before I beat you to it!

I visited NYE with my cousin for the first time, and I thought it was fantastic. I really enjoyed the band that was performing as well. I will share more details after my next visit.

I really enjoy sipping a cocktail by the lake. The locals are friendly, and the service is excellent!
