The waiter had a really hard time taking the order and came back 3 times to check he had understood. The 4th time he came back with a waitress, I have to note here she was the only one who was polite and trying her best, who told us that half of our order wasn't available as they only served it in the evening. The waiter then came back again and we were told another dish wasn't available so we changed again. The cheese platter starter was ok. The meat dish, tagliata, finally arrived after an extremely long wait, covered in salad and with a huge pile of roughly grated cheese which was not Parmigiano or Grana, on top. I literally could not cut the meat with my knife it was so tough. I tried a small piece in my mouth and it was horrible, full of fat and it tasted bad. The cheese dish, scamorza with truffles, was old cheese and the truffles were a cheap paste that did not smell good at all. We told the waiter about both dishes, he said it could be that my meat dish wasn't cooked enough! I showed him that the knife couldn't cut it and asked him to bring the bill immediately. No apology, no offer to exchange it for something else. The bill did not arrive, we asked again and finally got up and went to the bar to ask for it. The nice waitress was very apologetic and we clearly heard her ask the lady in change to give us the bill. Another ten minutes passed, finally the lady came in and gave us the bill. I told her that the meat was uneatable as she could see from my plate and that it couldn't be cut by a knife. She very rudely told us it was fine and that they'd just eaten it themselves. Needless to say we will NEVER go there again.
Pizza is excellent and the best arrosticini I have ever had! Great orinignal food from Abruzzo. If you are in Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo you must try it.
