We love this restaurant on the island. We have been here before and on both occasions it has been wonderful. The service is always excellent, the food delicious and the views amazing! Highly recommend it!

It is a absolutely wonderful place. Our favourite is the room with the birds on the ceiling and the view over the lake. Now the food: it is outstanding with ingredients of quality and special regional dishes, great wine list too. In the evening there is a personal boat service. We were enchanted! Two years ago and now again.

If you are the only restaurant on an island, then I guess customers will come easily, but I found this place to be unwelcoming, and in fact rude.

Take the restaurant water taxi over to Ristorante San Giulio on San Giulio Island maybe a 1000 meters from the Piazza. Boat ride takes less than 10 minutes. Beautiful little island that is 120% developed but just gorgeous. A church and monastery are the primary residents. The Ristorante is the only food on the tiny island. The charm, scenery and setting is all A+. Staff was very friendly, but the food was slow. There was over 45 wait between antipasta and the main meal. The food was decent, average at best. If there wasn't the romantic boat ride, the island setting, the scenery then this would definitely be a skip.
