Contribuiți la feedbackFolks, the food here is some of the best in Orlando. Great tasting BBQ, that 's more than just BBQ. The atmosphere at this historic place is only surpassed by its outstanding customer service! THIS is a family restaurant, to be sure. The salads are fresh. The pork? Tenderly pulled and cooked to near perfection. And you MUST see their desert glass fridge!!!!! Talk about a selection?!!? The food. The place. The people. Top notch!! You 'll be hard pressed to find anywhere better! We came from Clermont. We WILL be back here again.
I had a great experience at yellow dog eats! Let's start with the food the food was delicious! I ended up getting the seasonal pulled pork baked potato it was really good but I found it rather pricey (it was $16 . I had great customer service, but the team was a little short with my friend. The only reason I did not give this place 5 stars is because most of the menu items felt a little *too* pricey and the inconsistent customer interactions I witnessed. The vibes were immaculate. I adored seeing chickens just running around the property. The decor is very eccentric and it kinda looks like when you just put up everything from your garage but I mean that in the best way possible because it absolutely works for them. It's fun to look around and see what you can even find in the decor because it's so random from a water ski to a giant Dolly Parton picture to mistletoe haha Parking is in the back of the building and there's overflow parking across the street. If you're coming from the front of the building you'll have to walk to the back to enter it doesn't matter which little road you take to the back entrance :
We stopped in to revisit this little spot. We came here years ago when we lived in the Tampa area and when we realized it was still here decided to come back and give it a try. Staff super friendly and helpful, seems to still be a good locals spot. They have a very creative menu and feature new sandwiches/specials. They have a lot of space that somehow they've made feel perfectly intimate at the same time. The outside area has an old redone VW van for relaxing in, it's quaint and we enjoyed our meal. We ordered a couple different things to share, we live in South Carolina so we wanted to try their traditional pulled pork sandwich (it was pretty good! , we also tried the holy **** (it lives up to its name! and the Cuban. We enjoyed every last bite! We would definitely come again when we are in the area. They're dog friendly! (Thank goodness bc the name would be a huge miss if not haha
Decided to stop by Yellow Dog Eats since I was in the area and I'm glad I did. The actual entrance is in the back of the building where you walk through eclectic patio dining area into the actual building where you place your order at the counter. Once you place your order they give you a buzzer to come back to the counter to pick up your order. We ordered the Pugnacious Pug sandwich and The Dogs Famous Pulled Pork sandwich. At first glance I didn't think it was enough food but surprisingly after eating we both ate we were satisfied. The Pugnacious Pug isn't your average roast beef sandwich it was packed with flavors and the garlic aioli was the best part. The pulled pork was juicy and the sauce it was cooked in was flavorful. I usually hate raisins but the coleslaw had raisins and crasians in it and it really elevated the taste and texture of the coleslaw. Can't wait to comeback and try some other menu items.
It's been over 11 years since I first reviewed this place and I still stand by my first impression. I make a point to eat at Yellow Dog Eats anytime I'm in central Florida, and it's worth the drive. And oh my god, this is the best BBQ and seafood! YDE is in my top 5 favorite places to eat. The Poke Tacos are unmatched. The sauce is out of this world, chef's kiss. They have rotating beer from local spots and this is a great place to meet up with friends or enjoy a solo meal at the bar. The service is exceptional. I love this place with all my.. stomach. Worth the drive, your tastebuds will thank you.
