Slate - Orlando

Eating was amazing and our server, ross, was great. the food took a long time to be brought to our table, but ross kept us informed and made us aware.

The waiter didn't have the most meals. forget to bring coffee with brunch. foamed to refill waterglasses. hollandaise on eggs benedict broken. muffin burned. at no point was a manager on our table to ask how our meal was

They weep from certain brunch articles... French toast and pancakes. does not make sense.

I hate to do this because I really want to like this restaurant. The interior design is beautiful. The food is good, but not as good as the elevated prices would demand. The overall ambiance was ruined by multiple children entertaining themselves with oversized tablets while their parents fed them like farm animals, placing pieces of food on bare table tops. This restaurant could be a great weekly stop. It will be a while before I go back.

We come here for their Sunday Brunch. Allison was our server and was very attentive. We were a little disappointed that they were out of a few items the French toast and pancakes but we enjoyed all of our meals. I had the brisket Benedict, my husband had the croque madam, my daughter ate the shrimp and grits and my son ordered eggs and bacon. The shrimp and grits were the favorite, but all meals were delicious. We also liked the strawberry mojito mocktail. The portions were just right. Anything more and we would need doggie bags. We would recommend this restaurant.
