Sal's Market Deli - Orlando

We're only halfway through our stay at the Portofino Bay Hotel (Universal Studios Orlando), but I couldn't wait to share my thoughts on this fantastic dining spot. The laid-back atmosphere is just what we needed. The food has surpassed our expectations, and I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices—definitely no price gouging here! Everything we've ordered, including salads, pizza, breakfast wraps, and sandwiches, has been absolutely delicious, and the portions are generous. The service is incredibly warm and friendly; it really feels like a family-run business (though I confirmed it's not). I'm sure we'll be dining here several more times before we leave. During our stay at Portofino Bay, we dined at Sal's twice. On both occasions, I ordered the portabella mushroom sandwich accompanied by a side salad. The balsamic dressing is absolutely amazing—so delicious that I could eat it every day! The sandwich was quite flavorful as well, which is why I chose it again. My husband went for the calzone, and my daughter had the pizza. She enjoyed her thin-crust pizza, while I thought it was just average. They also have a drink station that we frequently used to refill our water bottles. If you're in a hurry, I wouldn’t recommend dining here, as it took a while for our food to arrive both times. However, the food was definitely worth the wait, and we would certainly return.

My sister and I were in the mood for a light meal since she had already had lunch earlier. We mistakenly assumed that the 12-inch Margherita pizza and Italian sub would be small, but we were in for a surprise. Each half of the sub was quite substantial! On top of that, we received a generous portion of freshly made chips. In terms of flavor, I found both the sandwich and pizza to be quite good, especially considering the portion sizes. I appreciated the fresh lettuce, banana peppers, and tangy vinaigrette dressing on the sandwich. The pizza dough was wonderfully chewy and soft. Overall, we really enjoyed the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere at Sal's. The staff were friendly and attentive, keeping the tables clean. I would definitely return the next time I'm in the area!

Loved the hours they were open, food was delicious! Out whole party enjoyed it. Great to pick up a pizza for the pool

Overall it was a good quick meal. I ordered the sals classic on wheat . It was good. They put all the veggies on the side due to the size of the bread which was actually preferable. The sandwich tasted good and the dressing was delicious. The chips it came with were definitely stale
