This restaurant is a hidden treasure. If you're looking for an authentic New York slice without the extra costs that often come with the atmosphere (which seems to be common in 2024), then this is the spot for you! I appreciate the genuine taste, the quality, and the excellent service. It ranks as one of my top three pizza places in Orlando. I hope the Del-Dio family keeps up their great work because establishments like this truly enhance what Orlando has to offer!
Amazing New York pizza originally from Brooklyn! John and his staff are fantastic—very friendly and welcoming.
New favorite family owned Italian spot in town, hands down! I was so surprised to find out this little hole in the wall that I've driven by so many times has some of the best pizza and pasta I've ever had. Their pizza dough is incredibly fresh, perfectly crispy and doesn't flop when you pick it up, and the toppings are all fresh. The vodka pasta blew me away! It was so creamy, fresh, and flavorful. The lasagna was phenomenal with Italian sausage to add an extra kick of flavor. You can really tell everything here is homemade with love, even looking into the kitchen you can see the family cooking. Our server Jeanne was fantastic as well. Can't wait to be back!
I opted for the large chicken parmesan sandwich priced at $9.50, while my husband chose the margherita calzone for $13. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting about an hour for what seemed like straightforward orders. Our server was friendly and did bring us some complimentary focaccia, which was quite delicious, along with an extra soda. However, I was puzzled as to why takeout orders were prioritized over those of diners eating in the restaurant. As for the food, the chicken parm sub was just okay. While it had the expected cheese and marinara sauce, the chicken was chopped into small pieces, leaving the sandwich lacking in substantial chicken. For the calzone, I was disappointed with the portion for $13. We ordered a margherita calzone, but it contained only runny tomatoes and small bits of basil. The long wait really detracted from our overall experience. Based on this visit, I would likely recommend Del-Dio Pizza primarily for takeout.
