El Potro Grill Conway New! - Orlando

On October 3, 2022, I had a wonderful meal at this restaurant, and the prices were quite reasonable. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. The dining area was tidy and impeccably clean. Over the years, this building has housed many different restaurants, and I truly hope this one stays around for a long time.

We waited for this restaurant to be opened this week and stopped for lunch. We love authentic Mexican foods and are always hopeful. El Potro didn't disappoint! The menu is extensive and it was nice to find a place with Chile Rellenos. Kenyera was our server and was excellent. They served chips and a medium-sized salsa before meal and also offered a spicy green salsa that was delicious. We tried a variety of dishes and everyone was very satisfied. They were able to accommodate a milk allergy and received the order directly on the first attempt. Happiness hour is like 2-4-1 margaritas on Mondays. Everyone was so polite. We can't wait to go back!

Don Pablo and his team are outstanding! The restaurant is impeccably clean and well-organized. The kitchen operates seamlessly, focusing on sustainable cooking practices. I really enjoyed the taquitos (listed as flautas on the menu); there's more than enough for a typical appetite. The chips and salsa make for a great appetizer, but be sure to try the special cheese dip—it’s warm and has a subtle jalapeño flavor that’s quite mild. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can request the special hotter sauce, which is available only upon request!

Food was great, great staff. the best jalapeño cheese dip ever!! we had the chicken quesadilla and the frogs. was so good that we came back two days later.

I would definitely return to this restaurant. The prices are better than those at La Fiesta on Curry Ford Road, and the portion sizes are generous. The flavors were quite good, though the chicken could use a bit more seasoning. That said, I would still order the chimichangas again as long as nothing changes. The Mexican salad that comes with the chimichangas is a decent size, and the beans with cheese have a nice flavor. Chips and salsa are served as soon as you sit down, and we got the medium salsa, which might be a bit spicy for most people. You can request the mild salsa, which has a sweeter, less spicy taste.
