Aji Sushi - Orillia

Orillia's first sushi restaurant. I have had many of meals here, and I always want to come back for more. The staff is friendly the food is great. A little pricey but that's okay you get what you pay for.

Food is disgusting, service is worse. I wouldn't recommend. Tempura is precooked and microwaved to order and fish tastes...off.

From the exterior the signage "Aji" sushi has the "A" fallen off, the door knobs were broken to enter, which seemed broken for quite some time.Upon entering the establishment a strong waft of bleach lingers in the air. Not much attention to detail in the menu and décor. Lots of Chinese décor rather than Japanese. This is a warning sign it isn't authentic Japanese food.Service was decent, however there were only myself and one other table at the time I was there.Food: the rice isn't sushi grade rice. It was soggy! I ordered a beef teriyaki and the beef was cooked well, just little flavour in the teriyaki sauce. Salad dressing lacked ginger and sesame, which is a standard in these salads. Miso soup lacked umami and flavour. I also ordered a California roll, and those are pretty tough to screw up so it met the standard.Not sure why others are rating so high.

Very tasty sushi, and great options. They have dine in, take out or delivery. One of the better sushi places I have ate at, enjoy!

This place is pretty good. Its not the fanciest sushi but definitely the best in town. its close to the water front which is nice. Always tastes fresh. never had a bad experience.
