I really appreciated the tasteful yet relaxed vibes of Canton Brasse. Just a hop, skip and a jump from mount Orford, the spot had been recommended by a pal who had gone camping in the area. Under COVID, Canton Brasse is doing curb-side pickup for their growlers which is probably pretty fun if you're looking to pick up some brews along your journey in the Eastern Townships. The experience is exactly what you hope for in a small brewery like this: staff are extremely friendly, the space is well-lit and simple and the product is delightful. We tried the smoothie, the DIPA, the kviek and the sour IPA. By far, the sour IPA (pointe de tarte) was the most notable- we ended up grabbing two growlers to take home with us. Of course there's a $5 deposit for the growlers but apparently certain Montreal breweries will take them, should you be returning to the city. I dropped one star because while staff was very diligent in cleaning the place and amending service for decreased contact (for example, menus are online only), the terrasse tables are pretty close together, which made the busy terrasse space feel kinda unsafe. Otherwise a total pleasure!

Great little spot. Good beer, good music and a relaxed atmosphere. Worth a visit if you like to try local brews.
