Rumbi Island Grill - Orem

I love this place! Jade served us and far exceeded our expectations. I live in Spanish Fork, but I would recommend everyone to this special location due to their customer service skills. We love the Blackened salmon volcano and order it often! Yum!

It?s really obvious that the two girls who were working hate their jobs. the main cashier sydney was absolutely rude. i got a death glare when i didn?t add a tip for her rude service, and she handled our food without gloves. i didn?t get the name of the girl behind on the line, but she and sydney were exchanging rude comments to each other. drink station was covered in spills and stickiness, and when i asked about forks i got met with silence. bathrooms were filthy. food was fine, but jesus. train your staff to be better.

I used to love eating here when I was younger. When I went here yesterday there was only two groups here, that should?ve been my first sign to leave. I walked directly up to order with zero wait and ordered a fire grilled steak rice bowl with grilled veggies and teriyaki sauce. The steak was not good (incredibly chewy) and the veggies tasted like they came from the frozen foods section at the grocery store. I also ordered brown rice but they gave me white rice (I would?ve asked for brown but I got the food to go so I didn?t know until I got to where I was going). I waited for 20 minutes for my food, and unless the food truly is cooked fresh (which would surprise me) that is way too long. For a $15 meal this experience was definitely not good enough. The staff were nice enough and the restaurant was clean, but everything else made this a 1-star review.

The service was good and so was the salad, but the rest of the food was honestly pretty unappetizing. The sweet pork was really disappointing, tasting exactly the same as Cafe Rio sweet pork. The coconut rice was weird (maybe just personal preference, sorry), and the chicken shrimp wasn't bad, just mediocre (felt like it was a waste of good shrimp that had so much potential). Would not go back or recommend.
