Hector's Cocina - Oregon

Ordered a STEAK burrito and I received ground meat, when questioned I was informed it was their ground steak . I think I 'll stick with burrito from 63rd and Sacramento.....

Most bland mexican food I've ever had. Salsa was like eating a can of crushed tomatoes, zero spices. Wife had chicken casadillos. She said the chicken was also canned. I got a steak chimichanga, at least I think it was steak, not a whole lot of meat. We were expecting more for 30+ dollars for lunch. Since when do mexican restaurants charge for chips and salsa??

Can't beat Hectors for a quick authentic meal from a great family run business. If shopping at Conover Square or just passing thru....must stop!

Really truly terrible experience here. I think if any of the owners of this place are Mexican, They need to be ashamed to be calling this Mexican food. Let me start with the salsa, It was like 50% water, 50% can tomatoes, with dry cayenne pepper mixed in for spice. Totally disgusting. Same with the green salsa. The steak had absolutely no flavor, I could make better Mexican food at home. What a waste of money and I embarrassed my Mexican wife by bringing her here. Honestly, I don't know where these good reviews are coming from. Must be just small town white Americans who have never left to eat Mexican food in the city or in Mexico. The only thing we liked was the decor. But this place sits in the corner of a musty smelling, dusty old building that sells vintage goods. There was almost no one there.
