However, the potato of the day, a version of scalloped potatoes, was excellent. For dessert, we had lemon meringue pie and a flourless chocolate torte, both of which were a wonderful conclusion to an amazing meal! I would highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.
We waited an hour and a half for our food after placing our order. The house salads took an incredible 50 minutes to arrive. The service was extremely slow, and the food itself was disappointing. The complimentary bread tasted like low-quality sandwich bread. I would not recommend visiting this restaurant again.
Our waitress was not only exceptionally kind but also highly knowledgeable about the menu. Her enthusiasm for the food reassured us that we were in good hands. I started my evening with a classic Old Fashioned, allowing the house to prepare it as they saw fit. Among all the Old Fashioneds I've sampled in the Lehigh Valley, Randall's version stood out as one of the best, prompting me to order a second—an excellent start. For appetizers, we chose Foxley River Oysters from Prince Edward Island, served with both cocktail and mignonette sauces; Calamari Fritti, lightly breaded and accompanied by marinara; and grilled Brussels sprouts topped with Parmesan cheese. The oysters were exquisite, their crisp texture beautifully complemented by the tangy notes of the mignonette, which paired perfectly with the cocktail sauce. The calamari was tender and perfectly fried, showcasing its freshness and careful preparation. While I wasn’t a fan of the Brussels sprouts—since I'm not keen on Parmesan—my brother assured me they were delicious. For the main course, I indulged in the Lobster Française, which featured lobster tails dipped in a delicate egg batter and served with shallots, mushrooms, tomatoes, and a lemon caper sauce. The lobster was fried to perfection, and the fragrant white wine sauce, along with the capers and other flavors, created an unforgettable dish. The richness of the sauce was balanced just right, maintaining a fresh and unique taste throughout the meal. To conclude the evening, I enjoyed a mug of black coffee paired with Vanilla Crème Brûlée, topped with blueberries. The slight tartness of the blueberries complemented the smooth sweetness of the crème brûlée, providing a lovely finish to the meal. Overall, my experience at Randall's was one of the best I’ve had in my recent travels, thanks in large part to our friendly and knowledgeable server. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a remarkable dining experience in the area.
I've heard people talking about this place for a year ,I finally checked it out. The food was top notch, so was the service. Tucked away where the view is beautiful . Wherever you live ,its worth the trip .
This was our first time eating at Randall's and we were very impressed. My husband had the seafood combination and I had the shrimp/scallop scampi both so delicious. Bonnie was our server and she was amazing. She had so many great suggestions from drinks to dessert. They also acknowledged my birthday and our anniversary very sweetly! We will be back!!!
