Contribuiți la feedbackThe hostel is located off the beaten path, right next to the Lac Blanc ski area with a view of the coniferous forest. Without snow in December you won't see many people there even during the day, so it's perfect for relaxing. But you definitely need a car. The rooms are newly renovated and very nice and cozy. Our room also had a bathroom and a small, fully equipped kitchen. The bed was very comfortable and the view of the valley was very nice. There is a restaurant in the hostel, but in the low season it is only open partially or with advance notice. You may also have to plan a lot of travel time to get something warm to eat. The staff were very friendly, despite the language barrier. There are numerous hiking trails and lakes around the hostel. The Auberge even rents skis, sleds and bicycles for leisure fun. Rooms: The rooms are modern, newly renovated and leave nothing to be desired. The small kitchenette is very well equipped and also has a new microwave. Nearby activities: You can go hiking in the surrounding area, possibly go skiing, go on a summer toboggan run and visit the countryside. In the wider area (at least 30 minutes drive) you can visit beautiful old cities (e.g. Colmar), go out for dinner, visit castles, etc. Walkability: You can actually only reach the ski resort station and possibly Lac Blanc on foot. Food drinks: The Auberge sometimes has a fixed menu, so it's best to order in advance 48 hours in advance. You can also pre-order breakfast. Otherwise you can eat small snacks and order drinks there during the day.
