Ruby Tuesday - Orangeburg

I had a great experience at the salad bar in an area where finding vegetarian meals can be challenging. As a vegetarian visiting Orangeburg, I was thrilled with the options available.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a delicious plant-based burger and unlimited salad bar for only $17. It is uncommon to find fully vegan options in my area, so this meal was a welcome change!

I had a great experience at this restaurant. The staff made sure I was happy and provided all the extra sauces I needed. I would highly recommend this place. Special thanks to Dakota, my takeout person. Service, food quality, and atmosphere all receive a perfect score of 5. The average price per person for dinner is between $20 and $30.

When we were finally seated, we noticed that one of the chairs at our table was ripped up. Our waitress seemed to be having a bad day. The salad bar, which was supposed to be all you can eat, was not well maintained. One of the salad containers was filled with wilted, browning lettuce, and many of the other options were either gone or almost empty. Our food was not warm, and my plate even had BBQ sauce on the side, despite not ordering anything with BBQ sauce. I didn't notice until my shirt got dirty from rubbing against it. One of us was supposed to receive breadsticks with our order, but they were not brought out with our meals. When we asked the waitress about them, she said she would bring them out, but there was no apology. After we finished our meals, we asked about the breadsticks again. The waitress seemed annoyed and brought out only one breadstick, still without any apology. Both of us have worked in the food industry and understand the challenges that come with the job. However, we do not appreciate being treated poorly as customers. There are plenty of other dining options available, and we will likely choose a different restaurant next time.
