Captain D's - Orangeburg

I ordered a three-piece fried fish meal with green beans and a baked potato. The baked potato could have used a bit more cooking, but overall, it was tasty! The prices are pretty standard for fast food. However, I didn’t find it particularly enjoyable. The execution and delivery are solid, and there's usually a line because the food is good!

You know what I really miss about living up north? Captain D's. My sister offered to cook for me, but after not having Captain D's for over two and a half years, I decided to indulge, and I was not disappointed. Everything was hot and delicious. I might have to make a trip back to South Carolina just to enjoy it more often.

The restaurant was clean, and the staff was outstanding—friendly, polite, and helpful. The food was typical fast food seafood, and the steamed broccoli was cooked perfectly, not too crispy and not too mushy. The coleslaw was excellent as well. I'm definitely returning for the amazing employees.

I chose a menu item and the cashier pointed to a deal they had made at that time. Great service won't be better than that. She helped me save a dollar and the food was great. I'm looking forward to going back.

I usually get the lobster rolls when I visit Captain D's what I love. The fish tastes great as long as it's hot. The funnel cakeries also taste exceptionally good.
