Lake View House - Orange Lake

I never expected to write a negative review about Lakeview, but it seems they might be getting a bit complacent. I had a reservation for 7 PM, and although the place wasn't very busy, I still had to wait. I tried to get a drink at the bar, which had only three people seated, but I was ignored for ten minutes. The owner eventually seated us and took our drink order at the table. I ordered a vodka tonic but received a vodka soda instead. The food we ordered from the specials menu was just mediocre. I'm not sure what's going on over there, but I'm removing Lakeview from our regular dining spots.

I've been visiting this restaurant since I was a child, and it has consistently been my favorite. Occasionally, the service can be slow, but that's only because it's always so busy. The food is incredible! The outdoor seating is beautiful, especially on a nice day or during sunset. The waitstaff and busboys are incredibly polite and friendly. I highly recommend making a reservation!

First of all, the view of the lake is absolutely stunning! We made a reservation, and it seemed necessary because the place was quite busy. The service was excellent; the staff was always available when we needed them but never felt intrusive. Each dinner comes with a side salad and a choice of either a baked potato, scalloped potatoes, or rice accompanied by a vegetable. And definitely save some space for the amazing homemade desserts! It’s definitely worth the visit, especially since we were fortunate enough to be within walking distance!

I want to send a shoot out to the waitresses and the staff for a fabulous dinner at our bowling banquet on April 17,2024 I was pleasantly surprised when we received our salads, main meal and desserts. We had 3 choices for entrees at a bowling banquet. I have been to many banquets and usually there two choices with small portions. To my surprise that was not the case. I had the steak, mash potatoes and broccoli with a salad and a generous mud pie dessert. The food was tasty, the steak was to temperature and omg the mud pie. These portions were the size of regular dinners. The food and service were top notch!! Thanks for great dinners and taking care of a bunch of bowling ladies!!

Service was wonderful. Waiter was wonderful. Food was exactly as it was described. Taste was what I had expected it to be. Dessert was a real surprise. Looked great tasted that way as well.
