Aj's Bakery Donuts - Orange Cove

I enjoy going to this restaurant because they bake delicious bread and serve it warm. The staff is also very friendly.

I would go to a different donut shop if there was one in town. The donuts are light and lacking in filling, but I would still tolerate it if I really wanted donuts. The biggest issue with this place is that they are often closed during the day even when their open sign is lit up. Right now, it's 1pm on a Wednesday, their open sign is on, Google says they are open, and there's a note on the door saying they'll be back by 12:20. Yet, here I am without donuts, disappointing my six-year-old. This is a common occurrence. It's a risky venture to come here by car or on foot because you never know if they'll be open. The only positive thing I can mention is that the staff are very friendly. They just need to be more professional about their operating hours and signage.

I am frustrated that the restaurant closed at 12 despite their sign saying they were open. They claimed they would reopen at 4, which seems illogical. It feels as though they are saying, "If you wake up after 11, you won't get donuts." Very disappointing.

Lady with the earpiece gave me attitude and I'm a weekly customer. Probably won't be going there again. Unless shes fired or learns how to appreciate the customers.

The food and service exceeded our expectations. We really enjoyed the atmosphere of this place. It's a fantastic restaurant for a family lunch outing.
