Niki’s Seafood And Thai

As tourists visiting for the beach, we found it a bit challenging to locate vegetarian options in this seafood-centric town. However, this restaurant offered several veggie choices. I tried the pad Thai with tofu, and it was incredible! Although the venue is slightly off the beaten path, the ambiance is lovely and inviting.

The calamari was absolutely exceptional, and the coconut soup was delightful, as was the Pad See Ew—so delicious! However, the fish was overcooked. The service was excellent. Overall, it was a fantastic choice for dinner near the beach, but I believe their Thai dishes are their standout offerings.

Niki's is a fantastic restaurant for vegetarians. Given that this is a seafood-oriented town, it can be challenging to find high-quality vegetarian options that go beyond salads. The staff were very accommodating, allowing for adjustments to meals by adding or removing ingredients like eggs and fish sauce. The wait time can be a bit lengthy, but it’s definitely worth it. The food is incredibly delicious and flavorful! I highly recommend it—10/10!

The food was outstanding, deserving of a five-star rating. I tried the Thai chili scallops, and they were incredible. My wife ordered the Penang curry, which was less creamy than we typically prefer, but still very tasty. The service was a bit slow, likely due to staffing issues rather than any shortcomings on the part of our waitress. The only downside was the bathroom, which was quite unkempt—definitely not up to the standard I expected, considering how nice the rest of the restaurant was.

If you're a vegetarian, don't let the word "Seafood" in the restaurant's name mislead you. They offer some excellent vegetarian options. After spending some time at the beach in Gulf State Park, we stumbled upon this hidden gem and were quite hungry. The owner was very friendly, and since we were the only customers at the time, the service was quick. We ordered Pineapple Fried Rice and Tofu Thai Red Curry, and we absolutely loved both dishes!
