Rubio's Coastal Grill - Orange

The tacos here are fantastic! I ordered the Original Fish Taco Two Taco Plate, and it was absolutely delicious. The fish was large, and the corn tortillas were very flavorful. I chose chips and Mexican rice as my sides. Unfortunately, the chips were a bit stale and could have used a bit more salt. It also seemed like I received white rice instead of Mexican rice, as the rice was white instead of the expected orange. The standout dish was definitely the fish taco, and I highly recommend trying them. The staff was also very nice and friendly when I picked up my order, giving their full attention to the customers.

I placed an online order and was pleased to find my food ready a few minutes before the expected time, which is always a plus. I ordered a steak Mexican street corn bowl, and everything was delicious, although the rice was a bit stale and crunchy. The interior of the restaurant is quite small and filled up quickly, but the outdoor seating is enjoyable as well. Overall, I have no major complaints!

Man! I was so disappointed. I walked in on a Wednesday as we were waiting for our movie to start. Upon walking in, the place was a bit messy as I am assuming customers just left and the salsa bar looked like it needed some help. I decided to get shrimp tacos, but they were out! Out of the batter and out of the shrimp. They were out of most of the meats besides chicken. I ordered the mexican street corn bowl with chicken, it came out within 20 minutes and it was extremely salty! Not sure if they were rushing as there were other people waiting way before us for their food! I usually enjoy rubios, I think today was just a off day for staff and the establishment. Hopefully when we visit again it'll be a better turn out!

Ordered the Mango avocado salad and got to work and saw they forgot to add the mangos, quinoa, sliced avocado but instead got guacamole, tortilla chips, and lemon agave balsamic vinaigrette. They must have thought I ordered the California bowl but not correct. On top of that the protein that I got was fish and the size of it compared to the rest in the bowl is not worth it as it was also dry!

They have fast service. The food is always delicious. I love the California bowls and shrimp tacos. Here's a photo of the shrimp tacos. Love to stop here when shopping at the outlets.
