Contribuiți la feedbackOne of the best experiences I've had in terms of service, food, and ambiance. Santana greeted us with a smile and continued to take great care of us even after we finished our lunch. It was a true pleasure to enjoy Indian cuisine in Orange, Connecticut. I ordered the fixed vegetarian lunch, which was delicious.
Today, we embarked on a spontaneous adventure to Coromandel Cuisine of India in Orange, CT. I've been craving a crunchy dosa for ages, and the desire for a long drive led us here. Typically, Indian restaurants can have slow or less-than-stellar service, but that wasn’t the case during our visit. The manager and waitstaff were incredibly friendly and attentive. For appetizers, we ordered Masala Dosa and Puri. The Masala Dosa was delicious, and I loved the coconut chutney that accompanied it. For the main course, we had Hyderabadi Biryani and Shrimp Tandoori. The Biryani was served with raita, while the Shrimp Tandoori came with a peanut sauce that I wasn't particularly fond of. Just a heads-up: the Biryani had quite a bit of black pepper, which was a little overwhelming for me. Ultimately, I enjoyed my wife’s Shrimp Tandoori more than my Biryani. Overall, if this is your first experience with South Indian cuisine, you’re bound to enjoy it!
We dined in yesterday and left feeling hungry. After a long hiatus due to the pandemic, we were eager to enjoy some delicious meals, but our experience was far from positive. What was supposed to be a simple aloo paratha turned out to be a thick naan, which was quite unappetizing. The Ragda Patties chaat we ordered consisted of a pile of boiled potatoes topped with choley, rather than the crispy grilled patties promised on the menu. To make matters worse, the service was subpar, and the manager showed little concern for our feedback. We had been looking forward to visiting Coromandel for quite some time, but I'm relieved we didn't go. I wouldn't recommend this place at all—completely disappointing.
We unfortunately did not have a great experience here. We had to wait almost an hour for anything to arrive even though we’d asked for an update on our food (or at least our cocktails) multiple times. After an hour, our server told us that our ticket got lost and that he had to put in our order again. Our order came out a bit weird too (we got two out of four drinks and had to re-order the other two again, our breads and main dishes arrived together but we had to wait a while for our chutney and raita to arrive). Our servers were really nice and kind, but there was some kind of organizational issue. Luckily the food was tasty; we all enjoyed our meals!
So I had gone to the Darien location in 2014 when I first went vegan and I am not exaggerating when I say I have not stopped thinking about their food since. This location was on my way home from MA to NY so I had to stop in. I am Indian and eat Indian food often. I’d say this is the BEST Indian food I’ve ever had (don’t tell my mom
