Connie's Place - ONTONAGON

Amazing place! Have been camping through the UP for almost a week. This was the first place we’ve been that felt like they were genuinely happy to serve us. Super cute cafe, delicious eats and drinks, great atmosphere, and really friendly staff. Willing to drive out of way to come back next time we’re in the area.

Great place for a nice cup of coffee, cappuccino or expresso. You want some ice cream, they have it too!

Virtually perfect. If you seek a pleasant spot in Michigan's UP, visit Connie's. Quaint, family-owned and serving delicious fare. The sandwiches at both lunch and breakfast (yes you'll want to go back) were stellar. And the namesake's granddaughter made coffee drinks that prove there's no need of a big chain in a small town. Just stop in, you don't want to miss it!

My husband and I stopped here for a bite to eat during a camping trip. Online hours said they closed at 9pm, but they had switched to off season hours and we're closing at 7pm. We rolled in right before they closed. They were more then happy to make is any cold sandwich we wanted. I am not a huge fan of a cold sub, I do like them toasted, but I was just happy to have something after a day of hiking. The sub was an average Club sub, ham, turkey, bacon, cheese, and our selected toppings and dressing. I will say, I would have been better toasted, but it wasn't bad at all. The meat is just average and nothing to write home about. If you are looking for a good sandwich, at a decent price, for that normal sandwich, nothing fancy taste, then this place is perfect! And it's just what we wanted!

Coolest ice cream/coffee shop I’ve been to maybe ever. The “this just got real!” salted caramel ice cream is amazing and the staff are incredibly friendly, energetic and helpful. Not to mention the building is converted from an old gas station, with the overhead still intact and the pumps replaced by hostas and flowers. They sell Lake Superior photo prints, have a full arsenal of baked goods and excellent coffee on top of their ice cream. I love this place so much.
