Lalibela - Omaha

We drove an hour out of our way to come to this restaurant. They refused to let us have tap water. I said I would get my water out of the car. They said no outside drinks. We walked out. Sadly I was looking deeply forward to this, have worked in every aspect of f and b for over 20 years, and have never seen such poor hospitality where people were denied water.

I highly recommend this restaurant! We ordered the combo, vegetarian, and the tibs. Some dishes are a bit spicy. Be prepared to eat with your hands, but you can ask for utensils. The spiced tea is a must-try! The combo and vegetarian options are generous, serving 2-3 people. The owner was very friendly and attentive, even providing some food for our restless toddler while we waited for our main dishes. I definitely suggest trying out this restaurant!

A must try at least once. The service and food here are awesome. Super friendly and quick. This is a husband and wife shop and she can cook. Love it.

Every visit has been authentic. I've been with large groups as well as solo. Never disappointed! Great flavor, great choices for all. Love this gem!

Definitely worth trying. Food is excellent with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Really enjoyed the cuisine and will return.
