I had the vegan dish and my husband essentially made his own sandwich. They were so flexible and accommodating. So delicious!!
The primavera is clearly labeled vegan on the menu and is an absolute must try. The portion was very large and I had plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day. This restaurant is a good compromise choice if your partner is an omni.
I used to love their eggplant Parmesan and it has been a long time since I went there. It was just as delicious as I remembered. Crisp light coating on the eggplant with a delicious marinara sauce topped with shredded Parmesan cheese. The spaghetti was al dente and delicious. The server has been there a long time and was wonderful. I never had to call his attention for more water or the bill. He was on top of things. The place is homey and quiet. Perfect for good conversation.
Service and staff was wonderful, nothing negative to say about the staff at all. We were seated immediately upon entering the entrance door at an indoor table in the back corner straight ahead from the entrance. We had a street-view of the cemetery across the street that was dusted in snow from a few nights before, it was a cool view. For an appetizer, we ordered the Bruschetta, a side Caesar salad and an Antipasto Salad. All of them were wonderful--fresh, and on par with Casa Mia or Olive Garden but with a more homemade and personal feeling. 10/10. For entrees we ordered the Chicken Scallopini and a Seafood pasta dish... I am unable to recall the name of the Seafood dish and I am unable to find this specific dish on the website, on door dash, etc. The Chicken Scallopini was delicious--zesty, citrusy, refreshing and warmed the heart. Both my partner and I enjoyed this dish. As for the Seafood dish.... I would not recommend ordering any seafood from this restaurant as the seafood in the dish we had ordered did not taste fresh. I've lived in the Pacific Northwest my entire life, living off seafood and have eaten seafood at many places up and down the coasts of Washington, Oregon, etc. I thought maybe it was just me or the particular red sauce chosen for the dish in combination with the seafood. I started with the scallops in the dish, then the prawns, then the crab. The taste was very strong. The whole time I was gaslighting myself into thinking that the fishy taste was so strong because I ordered a seafood dish that was full of multiple different seafoods. I gave my partner a taste of a scallop and a twist of pasta, he told me that it tasted rancid. I agreed beforehand, but wasn't sure of myself until he had said that. Lastly, I tried one of the clams in the dish. Upon chewing the clam, I immediately felt a mouthful of grit on the enamel of my teeth, upon realizing it was sand, I was really discouraged because I wanted to believe that it was just a seafood-y dish. The clam had an aftertaste like chemicals... I could only describe the taste of the clam like that of the smell chlorine, bleach or ammonia almost... Again, I have nothing negative to say about the staff, the atmosphere or pricing, as they give you large quantities for the price you are paying, it is worth every penny! The waitress was willing to comp the Seafood dish without hesitation, we compensated for the trouble with a generous tip. But I really discourage ordering seafood plates from this restaurant as they do not taste fresh, maybe someone whom is not a PNW Native, or not accustomed to eating seafood in general, would have become very ill from eating this. Maybe it was just this particular batch of seafood on this particular day...
