Dancing Goats Coffee - Olympia

Been here several times when going to the farmer's market in Olympia. First the good, coffee is always on point, they have plenty of hot and cold options, there's something for everyone here. Just be sure to ask for flavor or room for cream if you want it. The sandwiches are also pretty decent but aren't original creations. Unfortunately all of these positives are offset by how annoyed the line was, I get you're busy but there's no need to be rude when customers are confused or ask questions. The person taking orders was very nice.

I love Batdorf, and have been going there for decades. I recall when the Capital Way Batdorf was on the other side of the street, where the deli is now.This coffee shop has always been a place that is calming, comfortable, and that had a warm feeling; that is why, for me, it was so disappointing to see them recently move into the corner space (where Starbucks used to be). This space is not only much smaller, but it just has this cold feeling that is completely uninviting to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee with a friend.Of course, there is still the Batdorf near Saint Martins University, as well as the one close to farmers market which are much more conducive to sitting with a friend. But I, likely like so many others, are so going to miss the space that they moved from.

I always have a wonderful experience in the tasting room, and today was no exception. I came in to honor my father, who passed away yesterday. He and I had come here many times to sample and buy coffee, try out new ways of brewing coffee, and just talk coffee. As always, the servers did a good job of leading me through the tasting of their delicious coffee blends and I was able to smile thinking about the good times my father and I shared here. Many good memories. Of course I bought some coffee, and then was gifted some coffee as well by the server, G. I am very glad I came in, and as I still have family in Olympia, I will remain a faithful customer of Batdorf and Bronson.
