Although a good attempt at introducing Asian cuisine to the Polish palate, there is still much to improve upon in respect of offering a variety of flavours relative to the different dishes presented on the menu. The prawn jalfrezi tasted exactly like the chicken tikka masala despite being different dishes. The prawn biryani whilst it held the correct flavour was overpowered by the tomato based sauce I have never ever come across before in biryanis I have savoured and cooked. It’s a pity no basmati rice was used especially when it’s the mark and staple of Indian cuisine.
I'm not Indian, so I can't comment as to the authenticity, however the Indian friends I went with said it was about borderline. I can say that the food was quite good, though it had a quite large amount of oil (said Indian friends said this was not usual), though this wasn't an issue really. The only negative thing I can say about the food is that it's completely mild. While I understand that this is Poland and people are generally not accustomed to such hot dishes, but I ordered the hottest thing on the menu (Chicken Vindaloo), which turned out to be about as hot as a teaspoon of mild mustard. As for the service, can't say anything negative, though there were some communication issues when my friends tried to order in English. Atmosphere wise, its pretty nice. Stylized to fit the theme, plus they play actual popular Indian songs, which I found out when my friends started singing along for a bit
Food was really good and the service was fast, even if the restaurant was full. I loved the fact that they spoke English. We will come back soon.
Great indian food, friendly staff. Place worth to visit being in Olsztyn
Food is very tasty, and prices are very reasonable, just waiting to go once again.
