El Mapi Restaurant - Ollantaytambo

The food was especially the Quinoa stew delicious. Waitress Ingridh was very attentive, helpful and nice to meet the customers with a smile!

Perfect place to eat in Machu Picchu! Best service, friendly people. So many types of food. And vegetables! I never believed eating vegetables. Everything was delish. I was really hungry and could serve me quickly.

Breakfast and dinner were fantastic. I wasn't sure what to expect, but dinner exceeded our expectations. We got a menu with about 6-8 choices. It came with soup or salad, duck and dessert! We also had a good Peruvian wine (extra cost).... I had the quinoa soup, my husband had the cream of the vegetable soup. Both were good. I had the spinach trigotto and my husband had the Lomo-saltado. Both were excellent. For dessert, we both chose the chocolate cake. Oh, my God, it was so wet and chocolate!

I am at the end of my trip to Peru but I wanted to take the time to recount one of my favourite restaurant experiences here. I was not expecting much from such a tourist town, but El Mapi and more importantly my server, Joselo...really delivered. Joselo was very attentive and took the time to make sure I understood everything and vice versa, he took the time to make sure I was getting what I wanted. He recommended the lamb, and it was excellent! He also made recommendations of what else to see near the town. El Mapi is worth the visit and make sure to ask for Joselo!!

Dormimos en el hotel y al bajar a cenar nos encontramos con un ruido espantoso pues el comedor y la cafetería están unidos ,una pena pues el lugar y el entorno es único en el mundo pero al entrar en el lugar parece que estés en un lugar de la costa, una una pena , la comida es buena y son atentos.
