Zapata's Mexican - Oldsmar

The food presentation at the restaurant was beautiful, but unfortunately, the taste was not good. It was too salty and had an odd flavor. I ordered a beef chimichanga and my husband had the beef and shrimp fajitas. I tried his shrimp and it tasted old, like it had been reheated in a microwave. My husband, who is a chef, and I both know how food should taste. The lighting in the restaurant was poor, but it was clean. I do not recommend eating at this establishment. I suggest Zappatas improve the quality of their food or hire better chefs.

I hadn't visited this restaurant in a while but decided to stop by for some takeout. When I arrived at 5:00 pm, I was the only person in the lounge, which concerned me a bit, and there were only a few tables of people in the restaurant. Despite the friendly nature of my server/bartender, I made it very clear that I despise sour cream and asked them to ensure that there was none on my order. However, when I got home, my taco salad was covered in sour cream to the point where I couldn't eat it. I tried to call the restaurant to inform them, but the phone line said it was unable to accept calls at that time. I was very disappointed, especially because I had left a generous tip for Giovani.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere was fantastic and the food was delicious. I ordered cheese enchiladas with rice and beans, a dish I grew up eating. The flavors were amazing and the salsa and hot sauce had a nice kick to them. I will definitely be returning to this place in the future!

Excellent Margaritas!!! When we came onA Saturday night at 6:30 we were expecting a crowd. Maybe the impending threat of a hurricane kept some people busy.While the restaurant was full, the bar was mostly open. Patron margaritas were on point. So off to a good start. The bar tender was waiting our tables but it was pretty slow so we never felt left out.I had cheese enchiladas and while they were good, it’s my personal mainstay for a GREAT MEXICAN place, and these just got a 4 Star on those. The MEGA BURRITO on the other hand was AMAING!! A perfectly light cilantro and lime green chili sauce made it PERFECT.I will definitely go back, just next time, I might just order the fajitas.

Excellent food. A good place for vegetarians! The veggie Chile is very good.
