RC's Rib & Steakhouse - Olds

RC's is a good restaurant attached to the Blue Yak hotel in Olds, Alberta. My wife and I went their for our 36th wedding anniversary. We were received by one of the owners, Rob, who made our evening a special one. He was very attentive to our needs and provided a good overview of the menu. My wife had the New York Strip steak and I had the Surf and Turf special with a hand-cut 8oz ribeye steak with a small lobster tail. Both meals came with soup or salad, small red baked potatoes and warm garlic bread. I liked the red baked potatoes because they were just the right size. My wife's steak was ordered and served medium while mine was medium rare. They were flavorable and tender. We received a slice of chocolate mousse and of the vanilla creme cheesecakes as a special treat. Again, both were tasty and enjoyable.

Their steak and seafood is amazing. very tender steak and the seafood(lobster) was very sweet. great place to go if you want a quiet but elegant dinner

I've gone past this place a hundred times and not stopped in because there is little curb appeal.WHAT A MISTAKE that I hadn't stopped in here before!!The place was nearly empty, which needs to change! Read the reviews!!I'm a rib enthusiast, so I had a full rack of baby back ribs. They were fall-off-the-bone tender and delicious. I'm a senior citizen, and I live close by, so the manager gave me an unrequested and significant discount.This will be one of my regular stops from now on. I can hardly wait! Based on the reviews I've read. steak is my next venture.

This resturant has been open about 3 years I guess, and I can not comprehend why it is not always busy. My guess, no one know's about it, which is a tragedy. This place is the best steakhouse in all of Alberta, period! I have travelled and eaten steak, or what some pass off as steak, all over the world. I have never found a better place, ever, and I do love my Alberta beef! The Sawmill in Edmonton is the only other place I've dined at that is close in quality and taste, but way off on price. Here you get top marks for service, quality of food, portion size and price. They do have many other choices besides steak too!

The soup was homemade and very tasty. The rest of the food was also very good. Service was very good although the server was a little overwhelmed. There were a lot of people for a Tuesday evening. We would definitely recommend it.
