Contribuiți la feedbackI visited this restaurant in early March 2020 with two friends to celebrate a birthday. When we arrived around lunchtime, there were plenty of tables available. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant quickly filled up, but it never felt overcrowded. They were able to turn over tables for new customers efficiently. We all ordered drinks and one of the delicious cakes from their selection. The cakes were so tasty but also quite large, making it difficult to finish in one sitting. I would definitely come back again, either to take out a cake as a treat or gift, or to catch up with friends. The restaurant primarily serves drinks and sweet treats, with a limited savory option such as soup available on the menu.
If you're in Uppermill and looking for Vintage Cup Cake Kitchen, you may have difficulty finding it as the name over the door now reads The Cake Kitchen. Despite the confusion, our first visit to this establishment was a pleasant one after being recommended by a friend. We were joined by another couple who were visiting from abroad. The selection of cakes was impressive, leaving us spoiled for choice. Some of the cakes were large enough to share between two people. We enjoyed a variety of drinks including English breakfast tea, green tea, and coffee, as well as a selection of cakes and scones. All the cakes were delicious and the service was laid-back yet efficient. Overall, we would recommend The Cake Kitchen to anyone who loves indulging in sweet treats.
I have to say that after trying cream scones in many places, these are the best. The selection of homemade cakes and coffee are fantastic. Great job, ladies! I can't wait to visit again.
After reading reviews on here, we thought we would visit whilst on holiday. This place is fantastic. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We all had scones with jam and locally produced cream. The scones were warm and tasted delightful. We had 3 teapots of tea which was also lovely and staff gave us a plate of dog biscuits for our four legged friend. The decor was classic and tasteful with real china used. There was a book exchange available for customers. The selection if available cakes was extensive. Outdoor signs read as 'Cake kitchen ' so not sure if the business has changed hands. Definitely worth a visit. The staff are a credit to the cafe.
Lovely tea room with an amazing choice of delicious cakes. Love that it has indoor and outdoor seating and is dog friendly :
