Blocks Of Fudge - Old Harbor Landing

Very poor atmosphere trumping the quality of the product. Was there today (6/25/24 and was (not greeted by the store attendant. Didn 't get the name but the owner should seriously consider getting rid of this woman/girl! Very rude and dismissive. Was told as we carried a remnant coffee in to leave it outside. Where exactly? No hello. No can I help you? Was looking at the options and got the hands-in-the-air gesture as though saying; can you hurry it up! Clearly she either doesn 't want to be bothered with customers while working or it was personal? Either way, terrible employee and very poor ambassador for Blocks of Fudge. Should have returned what I bought. Won 't be back/don 't recommend while this poor excuse is behind the counter but possibly willing(? to give another try if the staff is at least slightly pleasant...

The best part of our trip to Block. Every time. Great sense of humor. Always something new to try.

After reading some of the review saying that the owner was rude or unfriendly I wasn't sure if I wanted to come in, but I'm glad I did. First off, the owner WAS NOT rude. She's honestly really nice. She has a good sense of humor and is a little sarcastic and maybe some less intelligent folk mistake that for rudeness. She's honestly very sweet and knowledgeable. Made some great suggestions for fudge as we reminisced about old words and old candies kids wouldn't recognize anymore.

What an amazing experience. Amazing fudge with a wonderful welcoming hospitality! I go here every time I’m on Block Island. Such a friendly owner!! Kid-friendliness: Tons of other types of candies and kid oriented things!

The owner is not just knowledgeable about her fudge and candies, its her passion. She hand makes her fudge in house and comes up with new flavors throughout the year. Ive tried her limited time Maple Bourbon Fudge and it was wonderful. I got the maple walnut, chocolate walnut, and penuche walnut fudge. Next time youre in Block Island you should stop in and try some fudge made the old fashioned way.
