Plaka Greek Taverna Okotoks

Tried this nice little restaurant and we were very impressed by the great selection of Greek dishes. We chose an appetizer Saganaki, and it was a full portion of the cheese that was shared between us. For dinner we chose the dinner for two recorders who were abundant for both of us, in fact there were even remnants to take home. I would recommend this restaurant and we will return to it.

My husband and I decided to give Plaka an attempt for our anniversary dinner last night, and we are so happy that we did it! He had the Mousakka with Greek salad and I tried the Gemisti Kota (sticked chicken breast with feta and spinach). I came with one side of lemon potatoes, rice and green beans. The portion sizes were generous and everything was delicious! We wish we had room for Dessert, because these options also looked great! Amanda took care of us and even provided a cosmopolitan martini (or 2) on request. It was the best I found in Okotoks by far, and under $10 for 2 ounces! Many of the restaurants and pubs in Okotoks are too loud for us to conversate a lot during dinner, but at Plaka we did not even have to raise our voices. It is more expensive than some other restaurants in Okotoks, but the great service, quiet atmosphere and authentic food is worth it. We are looking forward to our next visit!

We were lucky to stop the baptism of our daughter in Plaka! The whole team made the day so unforgettable for us. The food was beyond comparison, the service was phenomenal. Our guests are so happy and still talk about it. Plaka... is Okotok's hidden jewel. If you are looking for a taste of Greece, this is the place to go! Well over 5 stars we give it 100! We ordered extenders and enjoyed every dish. The seasons were beautiful. The sauces amazing. Loved everything! Can't wait to dinate in.

When you order from Plaka, you are ordering from family! They truly make you feel special. Above that, their food is truly spectacular. You can tell it was cooked from the heart. It is authentic.
