Contribuiți la feedbackI 'm a local, and it 's definitely on my go-to list if we are downtown for the evening or looking for very satisfying pick-up take-home fare. The restaurant has limited seating, and is counter-service style, but turns over quickly if you do decide to stay. The food quality is very good, sides (salads, grape leaf rolls, etc) are flavourful. However, even in times we have stayed and eaten at the restaurant, I find myself thinking that the donair or Shawarma or falafel could be a few degrees warmer and just might bring out a little more flavour, and push this place to a 4-star rating in stead of a 3-star best Mediterranean joint we have in town rating I have given it. For those familiar with Villa Madina in Calgary, the food at Almiras in Okotoks is on par, although the variety of menu items is more limited, and the cost quantity ratio a bit higher. Almiras is a local, family owned and run business, not a national franchise model, so heh!, give them your business, your support, and some constructive feedback on ways to improve the quality service. I for one would like to keep them around for the long run!
I have eaten here often and keep going back. We are treated very well by the owners and staff. They go out of their way to add a personal touch. I eat at all the good Shawarma places in Toronto and New York. Almiras is just as good. Great value for the quality as well.
It's ok but it's not near as good as Jimmy's A&A. Will make the drive instead of returning. I guess I just got spoiled living out east. I just felt maybe everything was not fresh and pretty dry.
Great donairs in downtown Okotoks. Friendly staff and delicious ingredients. A reasonable price point for a authentic Mediterranean taste. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
Hands down. This is the best authentic Mediterranean restaurant I've tried. The food is delicious prepared in front of you. Owners are professional quick to serve. Their menu is ever expanding their support their community. Totally would recommend it!
