Ted's Cafe Escondido - Oklahoma City

The food at this restaurant is fantastic, and the service is top-notch. The waitstaff is very attentive, and I particularly enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa as well as the warm homemade flour tortillas. There is absolutely nothing to complain about. I rate this place 5 out of 5 stars without a doubt.

The atmosphere and service at this restaurant are fantastic. The food is top-notch, especially the fajita chicken enchilada. The salsa is also very tasty. Highly recommend!

Great food. Great service. Server brought out chips, salsa, cheese sauce and tortilla. I had the Grilled Chicken Monterey Wrap. Very good.

We initially planned to dine at San Marcos, but the wait was long so we decided to try Ted's instead, even though it's not known for its authentic Mexican cuisine. Fortunately, we were very pleased with our decision! Our server, Alexia, provided excellent service with a smile throughout our meal. The food was delicious and served piping hot. I have been to Ted's many times before, but this experience was exceptional!

Ted's is the favorite Mexican food restaurant of a lot of people in Oklahoma City. There are a few good reasons for that. The salsa, chips and flour tortillas they serve for free with every meal is excellent. The salsa is fresh and tasty. The tortillasare the best I've had in the city (and I eat Mexican food a lot). I had the Escondido Especial (please excuse me if I missed thespelling there). It's a standard Mexican combination with two enchiladas, a tamale, and a taco. There are a lot of options toupgrade or customize how that meal is ordered. Their corn as a side is a good change for either beans or rice. I thought themeal was really tasty. The beef enchilada and cripy taco were especially good. I think the refried beans were a letdown. Also,it's important to note that dining at Ted's is going to run about $5-$10 more, per person, than most of the Mexican restaurantsthat I frequent, and their portions on fajitas, for example, might actually be less than what you get elsewhere for a lowerprice. The place is clean and bright and the staff is good here.
