Nice place, reasonably quiet, not too crowded, with a selection of good things to eat, and open late. Generally the main kitchen closes about 2200 with the appetizers and pizza still available until 0000 or 0200 depending on the night of the week and the crowds. Ordered the Tortilla Chips with Sausage Queso and Salsa as an appetizer. The entrée was a French Dip sandwich (on a baguette rather than their standard crossiant) along with a cup of chili as the side selection. The Chips, Queso, and Salsa were very good and plentiful. Quite a tasty combination. The French dip sandwich was pretty good itself. The meat and melted cheese was seasoned nicely to go with the auju on the side. I ordered it on a baguette rather than the normal crossiant. The baguette turned out to be more like a soft french bread. Good, but not quite the wonderful crusty, chewy, mouth feel one gets from a fresh baguette. Turns out the 'baguette' is the same bread used for their philly steak which probably explains a lot. Don't get me wrong, it was good and I was the one that deviated from their standard. The chili was excellent - meat, no beans, and covered in cheese and onions. My server, Marlon, was great. He was quick to get me started and quite patient answering questions as this was my first time at a Louie's. Eventually, as my meal wound down, we chatted for a bit. He explained their hours, live music offerings, and made some suggestions of some other places to try in the area. That kind of friendliness, helpfulness, and plain confidence makes me much more likely to return to this Louie's again and again because he demonstrates real interest in meeting customers real wants and not just facilitating sales.

Louie's Midtown is an enjoyable restaurant! Their outdoor patio is large, they have good live music, great food and great service. My friend and I went out last Friday and started the evening here. The service we had at the bar was very good. As always, the food was fast and delicious and the live band was playing great cover songs.
Great little bar, walked here from home about a mile away. Great service from our waitress Anya, food was marvelous and the patio is dog friendly Give it a go
