Food was good but it took awhile to get my order dining room was clean cashier was friendly Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: 6 Wings with Roll

I see it's been a few years since the last review and obviously things have changed since our recent visit. We had never been to a Golden Chick before and we thought we would try it out last weekend. We have a sick friend and we decided to pick up a family meal for her and her family and then take one home for us. We arrived at about 5:30 on a Sunday evening and the place was completely empty which gave me an uneasy feeling. The area isn't great but it was on the way to my friend's house so we went it to order. We got two orders of the 8 piece mixed plus side orders of okra and coleslaw. We took our friend's food to her and her family and then went home to eat ours. We were really disappointed. Everything except for the coleslaw looked and tasted like it had been kept warm for several hours. The chicken was mediocre. The okra was tough and the rolls were dark brown. The coleslaw was okay. We were so embarrassed that we had taken this substandard food to my friend. We couldn't even finish the okra because it was inedible. We spent over $45 for the two meals and it was not worth half that. I reached out to corporate and did not receive a professional reply the first time but the second time a different person emailed me and said she would have the manager contact me but so far nothing. I didn't want to try another location because I was afraid I would be disappointed but I was driving by the 122nd and MacArthur location and thought I would buy lunch so I bought one piece of fried chicken, a roll and a side or okra. It as a world of difference so I know now it is this N. Rockwell location that the deficiencies are. I wouldn't recommend eating here.
