1492 New World Latin Cuisine

First time at the new location. Was excited to try it as I eat at their Midtown location for lunch a few times a month and love everything I've had there! The decor in this location is upscale and a bit trendy. Very nice, clean lines. The staff was friendly. I was enjoying myself...until the salsa and gold queso arrived. The salsa totally lacked any acid. Very bland tasting. I almost asked the waitress for some lime! The queso serving is half the size you get at their Midtown location and not near as thick. Definitely not the same foods so far. The chips were even different, but still they were very good, just a lot bigger, if that is possible! I ordered the bean and cheese nachos. Disappointed in the chip portion of the nachos as they got flimsy and wilty in just a few minutes. The cheese hardened up equally as fast. So, I will probably stick to the Midtown location when I eat at 1492 next time.

Beautiful ambiance, and just as good food as the original 1492.  The dining room is simply stunning.  Great place to take a date.  The salsas are tasty and authentic.  The coconut shrimp were greasy and weird.  The steak was a triumph but the potatoes were needing a touch more love (namely salt and seasoning).  The bean and cheese nachos are AMAZING, and affordable.  It is also one of the prettiest dishes you can get.  Surprise, right?  We ordered a few appetizers that night, the bean and cheese nachos being one of them.  But I have had the full order as a meal and never missed the meat.  We made a night of it and ordered dessert.  It was a special for the day, but the strawberry and banana crepes were heavenly.  Doubt they will be on the menu when you go, but I suggest exploring a different dessert than some boring ol sopapilla.  The chefs implore great techniques and explore different flavors here, making this an overall great dining experience.

Prima dată la noua locație. A fost încântată să o încerce ca mănânc la locația lor din Midtown pentru prânz de câteva ori pe lună și iubesc tot ce am avut acolo! Decorul din această locație este de lux și un pic trendy. Linii foarte frumoase, curate. Personalul a fost prietenos. M-am bucurat de mine ... până când s-au sosit salsa și Gold Queso. Salsa nu avea total orice acid. Foarte degustare foarte slaba. Aproape că am întrebat chelnerița pentru niște var! Servirea Queso este jumătate din dimensiunea pe care o primiți la locația lor din Midtown și nu aproape ca groasă. Cu siguranta nu aceleași alimente până acum. Chips-urile erau chiar diferite, dar totuși erau foarte bune, doar mult mai mari, dacă este posibil! Am comandat fasole și brânză nachos. Dezamăgit în partea de chip a lui Nachos, pe măsură ce au devenit înfricoșătoare și în doar câteva minute. Brânza se întărește la fel de rapidă. Deci, probabil voi rămâne la locația Midtown când mănânc la 1492 de data viitoare.
