I have never been here but the latest news of the owners family tragedy in India while on family holiday is breaking my heart into pieces. I have no words to express and I am very very sad,my heart goes to them. My deepest condolences.RIP

Family friend Raja Chaudhuri shared that Rupendra is deeply shattered by the loss. "He’s broken, completely broken, like a piece of glass," he said, expressing concern about Rupendra’s ability to rebuild his life after such a tragedy. Chef Manpreet Singh from Urban India stated that the restaurant opened its doors today, but staff members are still in shock. "This is not just business; we all work as a family here, and they were truly wonderful people," he remarked, asking customers to pray for Rupendra's recovery. Raja Chaudhuri revealed that Rupendra, affectionately called Rupen by friends, suffered a spinal injury that has left him paralyzed from the waist down. He mentioned that an eyewitness claimed to have seen the SUV speeding prior to the accident, reportedly at 140 kilometers per hour on an expressway. "They lost control after the back tire burst, hit the divider, and flipped over," Chaudhuri explained. Mr. Chaudhuri emphasized Rupendra's generous spirit, noting how he would often feed those in need at his restaurant, and that Indian cricket teams would regularly visit Urban India while in Adelaide. The immediate concern is providing the necessary consular support to Rupendra. Chaudhuri expressed uncertainty about how Rupendra would move forward: "He’s broken, completely broken, like a piece of glass." Friend Robbie Benipal echoed these sentiments, expressing his shock and sadness over the loss. "It shouldn’t happen to a family that genuinely helps others," he said. The Department of Foreign Affairs has confirmed it is offering consular assistance to the relatives affected by this tragedy.

I've dined in, ordered delivery, and gotten takeout from here multiple times, and each experience has been excellent. The food is amazing, and the service is top-notch. The value for money is exceptional, and the quality of the food surpasses that of many places in the area and even in the city. I often find that a single serving is enough for dinner and provides me with leftovers for lunch the next day.
