Contribuiți la feedbackYum yum yum here I come. ???? What a great way to start my day by having lunch at the Golden Village. A Chinese family owned restaurant. I walk in and I'm greeted right away by the owner and he had a seat ready for me. Prompt service is alwaysappreciated and he was right on top of it. I had hot tea ???? and it was brought out In a mini teapot along with a sipper cup.???? My Wonton soup was superb in texture, taste and presentation. Now comes the main lunch. I ordered the sweet sour chicken???? with fried rice and a vegetable egg roll. Perfectly cooked white meat inside a flavorable breading with a light orangesweetness of sweet sour sauce and nice BIG crunchy pieces of onion and green peppers. The presentation of this delicious lunchis so inviting. I just love the partition plate, so colorful and large. I didn't know what to eat first. Soup it is! ???? Theowner likes to up a bit and I'm guessing maybe a little encouragable. ???? Don't be afraid to say hi to Steve when you go in.Thank you Steve for the spectacular customer service! See yeah soon.
This was a charming, family-owned Chinese restaurant. We stopped by for lunch and savored the sesame tofu and vegetable lo mein, paired with some iced tea. The flavors were delightful, and everything was cooked without being overly greasy. I definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area and craving American-style Chinese cuisine.
We ordered a selection of appetizers, two soups, and three different chicken dishes. The soups arrived quickly and were decent: we had egg drop soup and hot and sour soup. The kids and I preferred the hot and sour soup, while my husband enjoyed the egg drop. However, we all felt that both soups could have used a bit more flavor. For appetizers, we chose egg rolls and cream cheese wontons. They came out soon after the soup and were very fresh and crispy, which was a pleasant surprise. With the cream cheese wontons, we would have liked a bit more filling, but they were still tasty. The egg rolls were satisfactory, though nothing extraordinary. As for the chicken dishes, we tried cashew chicken, Szechuan chicken, and General Tso's chicken. The cashew chicken was decent but not particularly flavorful; it was overloaded with onions and green bell peppers, and I don't think it actually contained any cashews, despite them being sprinkled on top. The General Tso's chicken was breaded and had a good flavor, but unfortunately, it was quite tough to chew. I typically love breaded chicken, but this was a bit too much for my jaw. The Szechuan chicken, which wasn't breaded, was also decent but lacked depth of flavor. That said, the chicken was very tender, which was a plus. It came loaded with carrots and onions and was garnished with a crown of broccoli, adding a nice touch to the presentation. Both the Szechuan and General Tso's chicken had a bit of spice, but nothing too overwhelming. The chicken dishes were served with a large plate of rice that had a yellow-orange hue. I couldn't quite pinpoint what gave it that color, as it didn’t have much flavor. My husband suspected it might be due to oil, as it did seem a little oily, and he may have been right about that. Finally, I want to mention that the elderly gentleman who took our order was very kind and attentive. Overall, it was an okay experience, but I doubt I would return anytime soon.
I was passing through Ogallala and decided to stop for a meal with my family, choosing this place based on the Google reviews, and I was not disappointed! The food was quick and fantastic, even with my sizable order, and the restaurant was very clean! We will definitely be returning here soon!
Lunch was very tasty! Lemon chicken excellent! Very good food, good service, reasonably priced! Wife was happy with her wonton soup, and beef &broccoli .
