Krayers Muhle - Oestrich-Winkel

A very varied map, super delicious food and good wines. They sit very nicely on the sunny terrace and are very nicely served. Also highly recommended with children. A completely successful offer.

My wife and I went to the Krayers Mill restaurant for a dinner together. The boss himself works at the service and always tries to make the guests smile on the face. Some of the wines come from the neighbouring winery and are typical of the Rheingau and therefore just right for a restaurant in the vineyards. The food itself has made us a positive surprise and the cook showed us its existing know-how and experience through ideally decorated dishes and creativity. We personally cannot understand comments here and make a clear recommendation for the restaurant. If you are looking for a grounded restaurant, with good wine and a creative delicious cuisine in the Rheingau, you should definitely watch here.

Unfortunately, I cannot share the euphoria of other guests. After visiting the homepage we would have expected more here. We visited the restaurant a few years ago and were very satisfied at that time. But now service and especially the kitchen left wishes open. The waiting time for the food was relatively long. Well, we were for several people and have eaten á la carte, therefore excused, but all foods made the impression that they were warmed up or kept under the Salamander too long. The kitchen advertises with some extravagants, but they couldn't convince in their presentation. Also salads: huge leaves in a small bowl, with some components that do not match each other. Optionally with yogurt dressing or Vinaigrette, but both were nothing and without whip. Only the desserts could convince. Beverages, especially wines, were also good and cost-effective for the region. The service was an effort, but unprofessional. Card payment was not possible because the service performance did not control the handling of the card terminal. A total of three points.

Cosy, friendly hospitality with good, inexpensive food, reasonable wine, beautiful ambience with magnificent views over the vineyards in the castle Johannisberg! Always recommended!

We were at the end with great fam. In the garden for a cozy evening meal in the garden. Eating was good, funny and wortgewandt. Have all felt comfortable with food, drinking and beautiful sunset in front of Johannesberg Castle.
