Absolutely charming restaurant with delicious food, magnificent view and incredibly nice people. Family owned! Also the best tree swings in the world.

The view and the attitude are amazing. And the best food we had vegetarian in Norway! The lady who ran it was incredibly friendly, brought us back to get hazelnuts and chat us about the area for age. Very recommended!

I wish I could give Christian Gaard in Trandal 6 stars of 5 possible. A wise person said, "You may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel. "At our two-day stay I got a strong impression that the family lives the place and the whole team around them this value. A place of travel like Christian Gaard is not only the location and surroundings. Both different and spectacular, in what many believe to be the worlds of the most beautiful fjord. It's about what you feel. And I guess if you leave the last one, that's what's most sticky. The family that leads the place and the team really has a “can make attitude” and a positive turn to help you and make you welcome – in a way that I at least very rarely get the happiness I come. Christian Gaard in his current form is himself a place that should not exist, it was for his founder's dog of stubborn will - like most places they need, but not dare to give the space to let them act. In defending conventions, opposition and local authorities with their rules and regulations. Enjoy the story and bring parts of it home.
