Umi Sushi - Ocean Shores

Sushi Store is run by Japanese owners (not Chinese), and I give the food presentation a solid 5 stars! However, I found the food quality to be only 3 stars. The sauce that accompanied the Agedashi Tofu was a bit on the salty side, and they used the same sauce for the salmon teriyaki. I also wish the salad came without dressing. Overall, this place is a great stop on a rainy day! P.S. There are no public restrooms, but the restroom available was clean.

We had a great experience at Umi Sushi. The sushi prices are typical for restaurants in Ocean Shores, and if you live here, you know they're not cheap. The portion sizes were satisfying; we ordered two rolls and two orders of nigiri, along with house sake and a beer. The food was delicious, and the service was average—the staff brought us everything we needed, making for an enjoyable meal. Thank you, Umi Sushi!

Fantastic sushi! The prices are reasonable, and there's plenty of space for social distancing. Don't be fooled by the relaxed atmosphere; the food is outstanding, featuring fun and unique rolls. It's a great choice. The staff is excellent and genuinely wants you to enjoy your meal. I can't wait to return!

So good things about UMI SUSHI on arrival in Ocean Shores we decided to try it. And it was DELICIOUS! The aromas flow with perfection and the portions generously. Everyone there was friendly and attentive. We will be back

I don’t know what the one star reviews are talking about. The staff is incredibly respectful and sweet. The sushi was INCREDIBLE. The rice was sweet and moist and the fish was fresh and flawless. The edamame was salty and warm, but not too salty. The house sake paired perfectly with the sushi. We got the Umi combo and it was perfect. Vegan, vegetarian, and low sodium options. Fresh and beautiful ginger, perfectly spiced wasabi. Gyoza cooked to perfection. No one hurried and no quality was lost. The staff worked together as a team and were helpful the entire experience. We were stuffed at the end, and we got two appetizers, drinks, and a meal all for $52.
