Negri's Italian Dinners - Occidental

Oh my goodness… My parents have been customers since the very beginning, and I've been eating there since childhood. Now my own child is a customer too! I’m 65 years old and split my time between California and France. We had lunch there yesterday, but my child chose from the dinner menu because we wanted the full Negri experience. I love that the ravioli recipe hasn't changed, but here’s what we noticed: the soup had less pasta than before, and the chicken was inedible—it was so bad. Since when do Italians eat potatoes like that? What happened to the white wine sauce and the olives? It was terrible. As Italians, we know how authentic flavors should taste. Evelyn, please bring back the original dishes! The dining room should have been left as is. People come for the genuine Italian experience, not for a fake aesthetic. I’ll return, but I’ll only order à la carte next time. This is the first time I’ve been disappointed with my beloved old Italian restaurant.
