The Club At Candler Hills - Ocala

Parking: There is plenty of self-parking available, and Candler Hills is very accommodating for those with disabilities or limited mobility. They genuinely care!

I ordered a ribeye steak, which turned out to be quite thin, and they were out of the potato that was supposed to come with it. I opted for a side salad instead, but I wasn't informed about a $2 upcharge for that option, nor did I expect to have to select a different side because they ran out of the original choice. We sat at our table and ended up waiting a long time, so we had to go find our server. He assumed we had already been attended to since two of the four of us had drinks, but in reality, only two of us were served drinks. My husband ordered a Cobb salad, which was good, but it didn't come with onions, and when he requested some, they never arrived. Our hosts ordered a ribeye but were mistakenly served prime rib. They also didn't receive the potato and had to substitute with a salad. I'm not sure if they were charged for that. Overall, it wasn’t a remarkable experience. The place was clean and had a mellow atmosphere, but all the chairs were worn out and split, which was a bit odd.

July 2023 ... The last 2 times ... both the service and the food were very good.However, be aware that both service and food are very spotty. Sometimes excellent, sometimes miserable.We'll have to see if they stay good or if this was just a happy coincidence.

My baby back ribs were completely charred, and I could only manage a few bites. My wife's dish was an improvement, but unfortunately, they refused to remove the burnt ribs from the bill.

1st time there, just a few miles from home. We will be regulars. Delicious fresh cobb salad, burger cooked to order, fish serviving was small, excited to return. Great service.
