Lovely ambiance and wait staff. The kitchen is open to the dining area so it's very noisy. The salad and sea bass was excellent. The $40 steak however was overcooked. They don't seem to specialize in steak and the restaurant is not advertised as a steakhouse either. As long as you're not looking for a good steak this place is excellent.
I hate to be the one to do this, but I have to be honest. I am actually a resident of Ocala Preserve and I ordered takeout today. The order I gave over the phone was not at all what I placed. I used the menu online. The presentation of to go food should not be different from the dine in, but that in my opinion it was. The manager refunded us, for that I am grateful. She sounded upset at me. I told her I had ordered from the menu online, she said that menu was outdated. Ok, then why was my order taken if the menu was not updated exactly as I read it off the online menu, and was repeated back to me verbatim? They replaced everything I ordered with whatever they wanted. Bread soggy, soggy fries, unseasoned grilled chicken. Frozen molten cake…Manager said she packed it herself. Not sure what happened to it while it was sitting in the bag waiting for me. I am honestly very disappointed because they are normal not this bad. Maybe I picked a bad night. For the record, we did not eat the food. May the odds be forever in your favor.
We had really terrific service (kudos to our waitress). The problem is that the menu, which used to have a number of vegetarian options, has none other than 2 salads. Previously, the menu included the Impossible Burger, pizza, hot and cold Asian salads (which were delicious) as well as hummus with veggies and pita.
Never eaten there, and I guess I never will. Was just informed our reservation for 10 was cancelled by them so they could close for a special party. Called us on a Thursday afternoon for a Saturday night reservation, and with reservations made weeks ago. Been in the restaurant industry for 30+ years, this is not how you manage.
