Royal Orchid Thai Cuisine - Ocala

Royal Orchid is fantastic! The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly. We really appreciate their fresh rolls. The Crab Rangoon was flavorful and made in-house. My husband enjoyed the Pad Kee Mow, which was very tasty, while I had the Amazing dish with a delicious peanut sauce and a hint of coconut milk over chicken and broccoli. It was really delicious. Josey informed us that the restaurant has been around for 30 years. The interior is beautiful, and the Thai food is some of the best we've ever experienced. We will definitely be returning the next time we’re in Ocala. We give it our highest recommendation!

The pineapple fried rice was somewhat decent, but the portion of the vegetarian sautéed broccoli was small and overpriced for what you receive.

My husband ordered Pad Thai, and the server did not inquire about the spice level, so we assumed it would be mild. It turned out to be quite spicy—nearly Thai hot. I chose the Fancy Duck chef's special, a $25 dish that I hoped would be worth the splurge. Sadly, the duck was extremely tough—almost like leather—and not chewable. I could only manage a few bites. Although the skin was crispy, it had clearly been sitting under the sautéed vegetables for a while, resulting in sogginess in parts that weren’t burnt. My husband was served first, and I had to wait almost 10 minutes longer for my meal. The server seemed hesitant to bring my salad, which I had to specifically request. The duck itself was bland, with only a sweet taste. I left a smaller tip than usual, as I was quite disappointed with the overall experience, and I doubt we will return. From what we observed of the other diners and the takeout orders being handled, it seems that fried rice dishes and soup are their specialties.

I explored Ocala as a potential place to relocate and wanted to assess the quality of Asian cuisine in the area. The restaurant was a bit tricky to locate from the parking lot, but once I stepped inside, I was welcomed by the authentic ambiance of a genuine Thai restaurant. The owners and staff were authentically Thai, providing friendly hospitality alongside some delicious food. The Radna Noodle dish was especially tasty and expertly prepared. I would definitely consider coming back if I'm in the area or decide to move here.

This place is delicious! I've been past this place a lot. I'm glad I made it to try. The green curry was excellent and the perfect amount of spices and the pad Thai was really good.
