Contribuiți la feedbackOberstdorf, the southernmost village in Germany, has its charm. Culinary and sporty. We followed the kick-off jump of the four-storey tour as well as a women's biathlon race on the Olympic track. Of course it's hungry. In the runway we picked up some restaurants like the Lion Economy Restaurant. In recent years, a lot has been done here. Two Michelin Stern award-winning restaurants are available with the “Maximilians Restaurant” and the “Ess Atelier Strauss”. The 1 star Michelin restaurant belongs to the lion industry, but are spatially separated. Nevertheless, we expected a lot of service and kitchen, for the first time we were ordered to our assigned place and then we studied the menu. Some appetizers, three meat dishes, fish and vegetarians. But no menu. Also our funny, sometimes somewhat helplessly oriented Oberkellner looked a bit embarrassing when we asked about the menu offered. In advance we made ourselves intelligent in the Guide Michelin. According to the guide, under the week and weekend, an expert menu for 28 euros is offered. We swallowed something when we saw the fairly salted prices for the main dishes from 30 euros. The “Ess Atelier Strauss” is located in the same building as the “Löwen Wirtschaft” (Löwen Wirtschaft), both in Alpine style. On the ceiling large noble white silhouettes offer indirect light, the back wall takes an 18 sqm wine cabinet, a lateral mirror wall has small windows, through which you can look into the kitchen. This, although locally linked to the “Löwen economy”, is still culinarically separated from it. The “Löwen Wirtschaft” is rustic, one can sit on sheepskin balls, polished cow bells hang over the long “Elplertisch” from Allgäu oak, where 20 people have space. Not to forget the longest classic leather sofa in the Allgäu, which invites you to stay with its oversized and soft pillows. It wasn't us, so I got up and asked for a second time after the menu. He came to our table and explained that it was 2!!! for the guests tonight. Soup, free flight 28 Euro or the best of the milk lime 32 Euro .. Dessert by choice, probably due to the inattentiveness of the waiter. Of course we didn't have to think long and take the 3 Gang Menu with milk lime and dessert. Something surprised that I looked into the wine list, I found a top Riesling from the Knippser winery. Get the phone out, yeah, 28 euros the bottle. Offer here: 0.25 for 5,80 on request, Knippser Riesling explains to me that the shame was. So I decided to charge a Riesling from the Pfaffmann Pfalz winery, the area for a pleasant 4.50, the Riesling had a slight game with the pumpkin soup and the milky cold : We get bread and a hint, after another 5 minutes we see our appetizer image. A really successful pumpkin soup with crispy free-running chicken. The chicken was wonderfully fluffy and laborious, with delicate crust that could be served in the star restaurant. Hammer! The soup tastes neatly after pumpkin, had a pleasant acidity and a lot of strength. After that our main dishes came the best of the milk calf. I don't know how many weeks our milk cow was. Wonderfully juicy and soft, wonderfully boiled, the sauce had again star character. There were also tasted Asian vegetables that were crisp and well salted. But the highlight next to the calf Parmesan Risotto. Wonderfully tubular, with bite and sophistication. The dessert ended the culinary winter fairy tale. Champagne cream broth, forest fruit sorbet and Tahiti vanilla parfait, as well as Double Choc delicate mice with red wine cherry pictures say more than 1000 words Conclusion: The cozy LÖWENWIRTSCHAFT is a place where you can celebrate well. The unrepeated but unrepeated kitchen is also not too short. Improves only the service, but it is only for 5 stars in total impression
