First off, owner is friendly, but his staff is not very attentive. I had to switch seat and almost leave before the staff paid any attention to me. If you are not German or Austrian, they will serve you last, which is fine, I’m not...bothered as long as the food is up to par. It is not though. It is good enough for the price and will definitely sustain you. Overall, fine, better than La Montenara though. Going back in a few days, and will resubmit review if anything changes.
We weren't sure whether to give this restaurant a go. We saw numerous customers inside, so fortunately we gave it a go. Were met with friendly staff and guided to a table. Although it was nearly full, there was a level of noise lower than...one would expect. Plenty of space between tables. Service was prompt and provided with English menus, and the waitress spoke in English which made ordering easy. The beer was well poorest and served. The meals were very reasonably priced and substantial, good value for money. From our experience I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.
Lady told us that at 8.30 kitchen was closing soon. She seemed annoyed that we didn't know which kind of beer we wanted (we just wanted a normal beer, nothing special). She couldn't advice us, we had to open the menu and tell her exactly which one we wanted. White Wine was served either in 0,1 l or 0,75 l volumes. However a red wine was served either in 0,2 l or 0,75 l..... who serves 0,1 l measures these days? the bottle of wine we ordered was plonked on the table and we weren't even asked to try it. The wine was not very good either. We ordered a carafe of water and later found out that we were charged 3.70 euros for a liter of tap water. On a positive note, the food was good. However the service ruined it for us and the bill was too high for what was delivered. 2 days later we had a fab dinner at the Maximilian hotel and it was much better, great wine, service was very good and we paid less!
Friendly welcome, good menu, not too large (a good sign!). All the food was very good, and very tasty. - The veal was extremely tender and a delight. The schnitzel was excellent, tender and not greasy. The Asian turkey was also very good and nice to see for a change to the traditional Bavarian offering.Children are welcomed and well catered for .Service was exceptional, thoughtful but not overpowering. All the portions are large - so make sure you are really hungry when you visit! We will definitely be returning!
