Restaurante Altos Terranova

La semana pasada fui de trabajo a la ciudad de Oaxaca y comí en el restaurante Terranova altos que esta frente al zócalo de Oaxaca, y comí una delicia de mole y tlayudas con tasajo, a un precio adecuado y de buena calidad, lo recomiendo amplia mente, ademas de un ambiente cálido y relajado.

There is once again a lunch buffet at the upstairs version of the street level Terrannova after it was suspended during the recent protests I thinks it's offered Friday, Saturday, and Sundry but you might ask first. it's a much better option than ordering off the menu!.It's a little hard to even find the entrance and stairs going up (making your way past downstairs waiters holding menus in your face, and sending your way through closely spaced tables, but we find the upstairs much preferable to the street side tables. The Buffet was quite good, with pretty extensive salad makings, two types of soups and various hot offerings, several of which were surprisingly good: chicken with salsa de hierba santa, rabbit, pork ribs, and mojarra/fish fillet, among other more standard offerings. The desserts seemed even better than usual, including a fresh apple strudel and a rum infused chocolate cake. Service is attentive; beverages are not included in the reasonable price of 135 pesos.If one arrives early, around 2:00, it's possible to secure a table that overlooks all the activity in the Zocalo without the incessant importuning of street vendors.Clientele is mainly local. There is live music starting around 3:00.

Fuimos a comer un martes por la tarde, nos pedimos un botanero oaxaqueño para dos personas (soy de muy buen comer) y nos lo pudimos acabar,.... buenisimo. El precio es acorde a lo que te sirven. No es caro, ni barato sino Justo.

Nada del otro mundo el lugar antes era muy bonito pero ahora luce descuidado, se tiene los mismos servicios que en la parte baja pero sin la apertura a ver el centro al menos que te sientes en una ventana, precios altos en relación con la calidad de la comida

Este restaurant es una muy buena opcion para probar slgun platillo tipico y a la vez tener opcion de un guiso nacional. El personal es muy amable y los precios accedibles. Se los recomiendo pata cuando visiten esta linda ciudad
